Pokemon is a pretty loveable idea. Having said that, Pokemon Tower Defense? This game’s certainly not the same as the things you might expect through the title. You won’t exactly be slinging out Charizard’s Flamethrower or Squirtle’s Water Gun. Instead, the overall game involves a straightforward concept. You have Pokemon, that you simply spot in designated slo-ts round the map. Evil pokemon stream to steal and carry back pokemon candy. You move your pokemon around these sl-ots as it flings itself repeatedly to strike the aggressors.
It’s a reliable concept, however the execution the following is sadly lacking. The art style is jarring – gradients mixed with pixelated Gameboy-style sprites. The specific animations within the tower defense gameplay are almost nonexistent, along with the whole “gotta-catch-em -all” gameplay of clickergames.in doesn’t layer perfectly into this video game. As there is promise, it’s just not tapped perfectly. And annoyingly, there’s a login/signup system – you need to give your email before you play.
The best part is definitely the story, that is told via cutscenes that get you back to the likes of Pokemon LeafGreen and may genuinely make a Pokemaniac smile. They believe a little like a rushed Flash rendering based on 89dexrpky standard Pokemon intro. As always, there’s an evil team wreaking havoc – while the text isn’t presented such as the original Gameboy games, it is like more attention was made available to the cutscenes than the actual gameplay. The overall impression is of the game haphazardly thrown together. However, it’s totally worth playing only if you like scarymaze.in and tower defense games. 7 out of 10.
